I got home this morning at about 10:00, but fell asleep on the couch almost instantly

Last night was... well, mental for lack of a better word.
Last night I took my sister to see the Jonas Brothers at the Allstate Arena. 20,000 seats, sold out and apart from the odd mother or even odder father, I felt like a very old lady at the ripe old age of 18. So. Many. Little. Girls

It was LOUD. Now, I'm used to loud concerts, been to plenty. But the high pitched sounds of a bunch of prepubescent girls are no match for drunk adults. Think of the sound of nails on a chalkboard multiplied by a few thousand and then turn it up to 11. Yeah. I'm surprised I'm not deaf.
It was also very odd going into the arena. I've seen many gigs here before, generally when a band or artist comes to Chicago, they play here. But they made us stand outside until about 45 minutes before the show started which was odd. I've only had to stand outside at one other gig (Matchbox 20 2007, the stadium was a different one and it was very new so they were a bit unorganized, still it was February and I was in a mini skirt. Not fun.) and yesterday was REALLY hot. But anyway, when we did go in they just scanned out tickets and let us in the building. Last concert I went to (Oasis, same venue) we were treated like felons. All bags were opened and searched through, we were patted down head to toe and I think there was a metal detector involved and probably drug sniffer dogs. But no, with Jonas Brothers I suppose you are allowed to bring in bombs and cocaine. Whatever.
So the concert itself (apart from the screaming) wasn't too bad, surprisingly. I didn't know 2 of the opening acts (Honors Society & The Wondergirls according to my sister) but the third was Jordin Sparks which I actually like a song by her, so that was cool. Then the JoBros came out and it was insane. One thing about them, they know how to put on a show. Lots of lights, waterfalls, foam blasters, acrobatics... All very orchestrated and choreographed, more of a stageshow than a concert, but pretty cool for what it was. There was this one bit where the two other brothers left the stage to allow the one that actually writes the songs, has had a solo album etc. to do his own thing for about 20 minutes or so. According to my sister they've never done this before so she was freaking out a bit. But my sister (along with all of the other little girls) looked like they were going to die at any moment, it was actually kinda cute lol One girl threw a bra onstage which was amusing
Anyway, I survived and it was okay

But now I really want to see a real concert

Nothing else really happening... Watching something about a 650lb virgin on TLC. Makes me a bit ashamed that I went off my diet a bit today >_< Oh well, if you don't allow a bit of a splurge every now and then you won't stick to anything, that I've learned. But I've lost about 11.5 pounds in the past 2 weeks so that ain't too bad

I just have to be careful because I've been anorexic before and that is not a path I want to go down again... I have to know when to stop, being a bit obsessive compulsive makes that difficult

I'm not 'big', but being only 5 feet tall I have to keep track of my weight...
Hopefully more art to come soon

Bye now!
Finished!!
